This auction features a pair of historical currency banknotes from the early 20th century. The top note is a rare issue from the Bank of Communications, distinguished by its intricate design depicting a steam locomotive, showcasing the importance of rail transportation during that era. The lower note is a 10 Yuan banknote dated 1941, also issued by the Bank of Communications, featuring detailed engravings and the classic “10” emblem in both English and Chinese. Both notes are in good condition, with unique serial numbers N438478 and N443768, respectively. These pieces are a must-have for collectors interested in historical East Asian currency and economic history.
